How to apply vinyl to your rear car window:
REMEMBER TO PLACE YOUR VINYL DECAL IN A LOCATION THAT DOES NOT HINDER YOUR VISIBILITY!
(Click here for vinyl application to walls in a home, etc.)
Directions for Vinyl Application on Car Windows;
1. The vinyl decal is made to go on the outside window. It should be applied only in mild temperatures. A temperature of 50-70 degrees is ideal.
( So I backed my car in the garage and used a hair dryer to warm up my window. It worked.J )
2. Completely clean and dry the window. For best results do not use a cleaner that will leave behind a residue. Isopropyl alcohol works great.
3. Lay the image upside down on a table or other flat surface. Carefully peel off the blue back of the vinyl. This will leave the sticky parts exposed.
4. Lightly place image on your window. Make sure it is placed where you want it, then smooth out the rest of the sign with your hand.
5. Next use the side of a credit card to burnish (press) vinyl onto the window, using overlapping strokes.
6. Gently peel back transfer tape at 45-degree (or less) angle. (You will be pulling it back on itself close to the surface). If vinyl starts to come off with transfer tape, lay that particular area of vinyl back down and burnish again.
7. After the tape is removed, rub the decal letters gently with your fingers to make sure all edges are secure. Enjoy!
